The Blank Center’s #How2Tuesday series continues on Tuesday, November 13 at 5pm in the Blank Center Televideo Room: How 2 Become a Babson Global Entrepreneur-in-Residence!

You’re an international student entrepreneur, you’re going to graduate, and you want to stay in the U.S. to run your business. What do you do? The answer is the Babson Global Entrepreneur-in-Residence program! Get the inside scoop on the GEIR program, including what is required to apply. We will be joined by Joe Zhou, Babson’s first GEIR, who will share his experience, and the office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) to answer student visa questions. Join us for this special session as part of Babson’s weeklong Global Entrepreneurship Week celebration!

About Babson's Global Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program
In September 2016, Babson College became the first private college to launch a Global Entrepreneur in Residence (GEIR) program. The GEIR program, run by the Blank Center, enables international entrepreneurs with existing startups to qualify for a cap-exempt H-1B visa to stay in the U.S. and continue to build their venture. Participants in Babson's GEIR program access Blank Center resources to help accelerate their businesses while enriching our entrepreneurial community by mentoring and teaching student entrepreneurs and assisting faculty research.

About Joe Zhou
Joe (Chuhao) Zhou is the first entrepreneur in residence for Babson GEIR program. He is currently the CEO & Co-Founder at FirstBlood, a blockchain based Esports competition platform and also one of the first companies who successfully raised funding through Ethereum blockchain.

Prior to FirstBlood, Joe founded Alt-Options, the first Bitcoin options trading platform based in the US. In addition, Joe is an avid investor and advisor in the blockchain space. He is a partner at NewBlock Capital,an investment fund that focuses in FinTech and Blockchain,- and a chartered anti-money laundering specialist (ACAMS). Joe holds a BSBA in finance and entrepreneurship from Boston University Questrom School of Business. Joe is a Gold III League of Legends player and he also plays alto and soprano saxophone.
